India
is famous for its enchanting fauna
and wildlife. As compared to the rest
of the world, the migration of birds
in India can be on the highest ranking
with any other part of the world.

birds in various parts of the world.
Out of the 8650 species in the world
India has as many as 1200.
The weather conditions and consequently,
the character of vegetation and environmental
conditions have greatly influenced
the character of Indian birdlife.
To preserve its unique wildlife, India
has created 11 National Parks and
135 Sanctuaries in the country, covering
a total area of 26,000 sq. km
The popular type of bird species which
is seen in India very often is Racquet
tailed drogas, tree pies jungle owlets,
Minvets, Ioras, golden orioles magpie
robins, sun birds, Kingfishers, drogas,
mynas pipits and larks, Siberia crane. |
