Indravati National Park is
located 22.4 Km away from the Jagadalpur
(Bastar). The approach to the Park
becomes quite easy from here as the
nearest railway point is Raipur which
is which is 496 Km away from the park.
. The park spreads in the vast area
of 1258.37square Kms. The Park derives
its name from the river Indravati
which is on the South and east.
The park was declared as a National
Park in the year1975 as it was a home
for Wild Buffalo and swamp deer, both
of these are rare ad endangered species.The
most common bird which is found here
in large number is the Hill Maina.
The best time to visit this park is Rainy Season: January - April
Summer Season: March - June
Winter Season: November – February. Largely speaking the Park is open the whole year through.
