Kalakkadu and Mundanthurai wildlife
sanctuaries are located in the Tirunelveli
District which includes the foothills
of Western Ghats and adjoining area.
These sanctuaries are situated in
the preserves as extensive as ‘Tiger
project Reserve’ It is covers
an area of 233 square kilometers The
flora ranges from forests of tropical
wet ever-green to Tropical dry deciduous
and thorn forest at down hills.
