Manjira
Bird Sanctuary is located
in South India and is just 150 Kms
away from the city of Hyderabad. The
Manjira Bird Sanctuary
is very well known for its Environmental
Education Centre and museum where
the visitors are taught about nature
conservation and maintenance of ecological
balance.
The total area covered by the park
is 3568 Square Kms. And is home for
a number of local and migratory birds.
Besides the birds marsh crocodiles
too take shelter here. The common
bird species found in Manjira
Bird Sanctuary are Catla,
Rahu, Murrel, Ech Paten, Karugu, Chidwa,Painted
Storks, Herons, Coots, Teals, Cormorants,
Pochards, Black and White Ibises,
Spoon Bills, Open Billed Storks etc.The boat rides are arranged
for the visitors to see the water birds
and animals this helps the visitors in their
search to know the place.
