Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary
was the first sanctuary in south India.
The region is has a mix of all regions
like hills, valleys, ravines, watercourses
and swamps. Mudumalai wildlife
sanctuary is surrounded by
the tropical moist deciduous forests,
dry deciduous forests and scrub forests.
If a comparison is drawn with the
other nearby parts of the Mudumalai
wildlife sanctuary it will
be well noticeable that it is much
warmer than the other parts.The
wildlife which can be traced in Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary is Langur, bonnet macaque, tiger, leopard, wild dog, hyena, jackal, sloth bear, elephants, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, Indian muntjac, mouse deer, wild boar, rodent and flying squirrel.
