Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary in
Tirunelveli District. The area covered
by this sanctuary is 567 Km. There
is nothing to differentiate this sanctuary
from that of Kalakkadu, except the
absence of the Elephant and the gaur.
The sanctuary has mix of dry deciduous
forest to tropical wet evergreen forest
patches of pure reeds.
The wildlife seen in this sanctuary
is Tiger, Bonnet Macaque, Langurs,
Slender Loris, Sloth Bear, Sambar,
Chital and wild dog. Here again the
visitors can go for trekking
to awaken
