The Pin Valley National Park is located in the Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh on a very high altitude of 6000 meters.

Spreading south of Dhanka near the Tibetan border, the Pin Valley National Park marks the Lahaul and Spiti divisions of the State.

The Pin valley national park was constituted in 1984 to conserve and preserve the rare flora and fauna of the region. The area covered by this region is 675 square kms.

The Pin Valley National Park forms a natural habitat for a number of endangered animals including the Snow Leopard and Siberian Ibex.

Rare birds like the Himalayan Snowcock, Chukor, Snow Partridge and the Tibet Snow Finch also flourish here.
The fauna found here are Siberian Ibex, Snow Leopard, Bharal, Wooly Hare, Tibetan Wolf, Red Fox and Snow Cock among others. Bird species include the Himalayan Snowcock, Chukor, Snow Partridge and the Tibet Snow Finch, Kestrels, Bearded Vulture and Golden Eagle, among others

Air :

The nearest airport is at Bhuntar in Kullu district. Private operators operate flights to Delhi from here; therefore it would be wise to confirm flight schedules etc. in advance.

Rail :
Shimla at a distance of around 443 km is the nearest railhead.

Road :
From Delhi-231 kms. (Mohand Gate No. 2) from Lucknow-509 Kms.(Ranipur Gate No.4)
