Rajaji National Park
is located across the shivaliks at the foothills of the Himalayas. The area covered by Rajaji National Park is 820 square Kms.

This magnificient Park is the result of the amalgamation of three sanctuaries namely Rajaji, Motichur and Chilla.

This area is the North western Limit of the Asian elephants and possesses as many as 23 species of mammals and 315 bird species, the wildlife here is furred and feathered, docile and dangerous.

The animals seen here are tigers, leopards, elephants, deer, jungle cat, wild boar and sloth bear.

The ambience of the Rajaji National Park comprises of deciduous forests, reverie vegetation, grasslands and Pine forests. . It is feast for the eyes of a nature lover.
The bird life seen here is pea fowl, woodpeckers, pheasants, kingfishers and barbets. However this heavenly place too is not devoid of the problems of soil erosion and poaching.
The best time to visit Rajaji National Park is December to March.
   
How to reach
   
Air :
The nearest airport to Corbett National Park is Phoolbagh, Pantnagar which is at a distance of 50 km. The nearest international airport is at Delhi which is at a distance of 300 km from Corbett.

Rail :
The nearest railway station is at Ramnagar from where road transport options have to be availed to reach the park.

Road :
Dhikala is 300 km from Delhi, 145 km from Lucknow and 51 km from Ramnagar. The route from Delhi spans Hapur-Murababad-Ramnagar. The turn off is some 7 km beyond Muradabad to the left, marked by a small board. The route from Lucknow spans Bareilly-Kichha-Rudrapur-Doraha-Kashipur.
